Alpine Racer, John Underhill, Newest Member of the Family

Mainline Nation is proud to welcome the newest member of the family, skiing sensation and all around sports superstar, John Underhill.

John got his first used set of skis at age three and continued on used skies until he was around 9 years old, several years into his racing career. To date, John has earned 23 Gold, 7 Silver, and 4 bronze medals in competition. He has advanced to Eastern Nationals every year he has been racing with the exception of his first year of competition in 2003.

John has earned two Ski Meister Awards in 2005 and 2007, Don Cushing overall best in Slalom and GS in New York, the Kandahar for overall best in Slalom and GS in New York, as well as 1st Place in the Hovey Invitational in Lake Placid. In his first year eligible for Jr .Olympics, he advanced and navigated through all the races and placed in the top ten in his age group in GS, Slalom and Super G. John is invited, as one of the elite alpine racers of the Eastern US for the past several years, to train in Maine as well as Lake Placid.

John is also a star baseball, soccer and basketball player, kayaks flat and white water, and rips it up at both mountain and road biking. He pitched in The Mid-Atlantic Baseball Championships in both 2005 and 2007 Cal-Ripken League, the last step to the Little League World Series as well as captured two New York State Championship titles with the Queensbury, New York All-Star team.
